November 4 Update Graphic

November 4, 2020

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff.

There are a few important updates:

We have been receiving an increase in the number of questions about our plans moving forward due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Marion County and in Indiana. We are continuing to follow the guidance of the Marion County Public Health Department, which can be found on their website marionhealth.org under the COVID-19 Dashboard, School Guidance Dashboard.  With the current data, we will continue with our K-5 IN-PERSON, K-12 VIRTUAL, and 6-12 HYBRID schedules.

Please remember that the 9-12 request window is open until November 8th for those families who wish to switch their current model. There is no action needed if you are remaining in your current model. Please visit the high school website or access their most recent newsletter for the link

The K-8 request window will be opening November 13th and will remain open until November 24th. More information will be shared through your child’s school.

Last Friday, we celebrated the grand opening of our Moorhead Community Resource Center located at 8400 E 10th Street. The MCRC will be a centralized and organized center that will provide a variety of resources to our students, families, and community. If you have a need for resources, you can either work through your child's school or you can reach out through our outreach hotline at 317-608-0545 or email at MSDWarrenOutreach@warren.k12.in.us.

Thank you to our students, teachers, and families for our first successful eLearning day in Warren. Please remember to complete your teacher assigned activities so that you are counted present for the day.

As 2020 continues to be a very different kind of year for all of us, thank you for doing your part to make this year a success. I am grateful for our amazing students, inCREdible staff, and awesome families.

Make the rest of your week the best of your week!

Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
