DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the Renaissance School Where We Rise and Soar!

Renaissance is committed to providing a non-traditional educational option for students who have struggled in traditional settings due to a variety of reasons. We offer curriculum and programs that are designed to help our students find direction and purpose. We teach our students how to become self-advocates. We present to our students opportunities to positively impact communities as we coach them in building effective habits that lead to self-defined success.

We embrace educational philosophies and practices that allow us to work with the “whole student," both in a collective setting as well as with individuals. It is our hope that students that enter our doors will leave with the social, emotional, and academic skills needed to realize personally-defined success as well as to be positive contributors of society. We recognize that in order to have this we need a “continuous improvement model” and we invite students, parents, and community members to partner with us as we support our students into becoming the true pride of the eastside!

The Renaissance school day will be broken up into two half day segments 8:55 am-11:55 am and 12:55 pm-3:55 pm. Middle School students are split into gender cohorts, with our middle school young ladies attending the morning session and all middle school young men coming in the afternoon. High School students schedule will be determined by grade level and course needs. Students are expected to adhere to the district wide dress code for middle school and high school.

I am excited to be a part of a wonderfully powerful team that will work to help all of our students Rise and Soar!
