Feb 8 Superintendent Update Graphic

February 8, 2023

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,

We have three important announcements for the week of February 8th.

We are excited to invite our 8th-grade students and families to the upcoming Journey to the High School Parent Night for our 8th Grade families on Thursday, February 16th, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Warren Central High School. This event will allow students and families an opportunity to learn more about Warren Central High School and all of the wonderful opportunities that will be available to our incoming students. This event will begin in the Warren Central High School Performing Arts Center, so please enter through door 27.

Information and activities will include:

Student Scheduling and Elective options for their 9th-grade year

Career and Graduation Pathway Opportunities

Clubs and Extracurricular Activities, Athletics

Information about Resources and Family Support

Meet Counselors, Teachers, Family Engagement Liaisons, Academic Coaches, and Administration

Tours of Warren Central High School and Walker Career Center

On Monday, March 13th, MSD Warren Township, in partnership with community partners, will be hosting its second community forum on school safety and security. The forum will again meet at Creston Intermediate Middle School from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. We invite all Warren families, staff, and community members to attend. More details and information will be shared as we get closer to the event.

Please remember there is no school on Monday, February 20th, and the third and final planned eLearning day is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21st. Just a reminder that this will be a synchronous eLearning day which means that our students will be required to meet virtually with their teachers on this day. More details will be provided as we get closer to that date. The 22-23 school calendar is linked here.

Thank you, students, staff, and families, for your continued support and investment in Warren students, staff, and schools.

Together…#WarrenWill grow our students.
